GZA - real name Gary Grice - is an American rapper and songwriter hailing from Brooklyn, New York. Born in 1966, he is best recognised as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, in which he's known as the 'spiritual head'. A common feature in many's 'Top 100 Rappers/MCs' lists (he's also known as having the second widest vocabulary in hip-hop), GZA boasts a successful solo career too, having released two Top 10 records in the '90s. GZA's 1995 solo effort, Liquid Swords was selected as one of The Source Magazine's 100 Best Rap Albums of all time and his subsequent solo projects were all praised highly.  He put out his seventh solo album, 'Dark Matter', in autumn 2015 GZA made an appearance with RZA in Jim Jarmusch’s film Coffee & Cigarettes, opposite Bill Murray. The two also appeared on the Chappelle Show’s in the now legendary skits “Wu Tang Financial” and “Racial Draft.”
