Dicey Riley with Zoe Darrow is a six-piece Alt-Irish band from Northampton, Massachusetts. Alt-Irish music is an energetic union of Celtic-influenced alternative rock, alt-country and contemporary arrangements of traditional music. "Alt-Irish" is a relatively new genre of music; Dicey may be the only band in the Northeast describing their music in this style. Sets typically also include straight-ahead Celtic Rock along with highly- traditional works, including songs sung solely in Gaelic.
Dicey Riley has been among the most preeminent Celtic rock bands in New England for almost 20 years. In 2017 young fiddle/vocal phenomenon Zoe Darrow joined the group. Zoe, a true prodigy, has long been known as one of the region’s top Celtic fiddlers. When singing the band’s original Alt-Irish works, her strong, lilting voice is particularly compelling. This three-way marriage of Zoe’s fresh talent, Dicey’s original compositions and a fast-rising new musical genre has brought universal approval from audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
