Elizabeth Cook
Elizabeth Cook's counry is just outside the Nashville mainstream. Host of SiriusXM's Outlaw Country show Apron Strings, she's a favorite of David Letterman & a Grand Ole Opry regular.
Plus: Caleb Caudle

Elizabeth Cook probably could have been a major country star years ago. But she didn’t want to make records that sounded like Shania Twain and Faith Hill.  Instead, Cook has made provocative, independent music — including “Sometimes It Takes Balls to Be a Woman” and “Heroin Addict Sister” — outside the Nashville mainstream. Host of SiriusXM's Outlaw Country show Apron Strings, she is also a favorite of David Letterman, a regular performer on the Grand Ole Opry, and a frequent guest star on Adult Swim’s long-running hit cartoon series "Squidbillies" on Cartoon Network.
